Teleira Keylink

Privacy policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

Teleira Keylink is Teleira's password manager for Teleira staff and authorised users. It is available as the web app at keylink.teleira.com, in Google Chrome, and as the Teleira Keylink Android app. Teleira operates the service on Amazon Web Services in the United States (us-west-2).

What is end-to-end encrypted

Your vault (logins, passwords, notes, 2FA secrets, passkeys, cards, files and their names and web addresses) is encrypted on your device before it is sent to Teleira. Teleira cannot read it. Shared items are encrypted for each person you share them with.

What Teleira stores and why

  • Account data: your username, e-mail address, public keys, and your security keys' registration data (for YubiKey sign-in). Used to run your account.
  • Session and security data: sign-in times, device descriptions, IP addresses and browser version. Used to keep your account secure, to enforce the minimum Chrome version, and to e-mail you about new sign-ins.
  • Security Check summary: counts only (for example "3 reused passwords"), never which entries or sites. Administrators can see these counts per user.
  • "Didn't fill?" reports (only when you click the button): the site's domain and the structure of its login form (field types and attributes). Never what you typed, page text, or your passwords.

What Keylink does with web pages

In Chrome, Keylink reads login forms on the pages you visit so it can offer to fill them, and it reads a 2FA QR code on a page only when you ask it to. It does not record your browsing history and does not send page content to Teleira.

Third parties

Password exposure checks use Have I Been Pwned's Pwned Passwords service with k-anonymity: only the first five characters of a password's SHA-1 hash leave your device, never the password or its full hash. Keylink does not use advertising, analytics or tracking services, and Teleira does not sell data.

Retention and deletion

Your data is kept while your account exists. Deleting your account deletes your vault from the service; encrypted database backups expire within 14 days.
