Help
Signing in, your YubiKey, and getting help.
Add your YubiKey
Keylink asks for this the first time you sign in. You need a YubiKey 5 (USB-A, USB-C or NFC).
On a computer (Chrome)
- When Keylink says Your administrator requires that you set up a second factor, click Configure, then Create.
- Type a name you will recognise, for example Blue YubiKey, and click Create.
- Chrome asks you to use your security key. Plug in the YubiKey. If it has a PIN, type the PIN. Touch the gold disc when it blinks.
- Done. From now on, after your password Keylink asks you to touch your key.
On an Android phone (NFC)
- Open keylink.teleira.com in Chrome on the phone and sign in, or use the Keylink app.
- When asked for your security key, hold the YubiKey flat against the back of the phone until it vibrates or the prompt closes.
- If your key has a PIN, Android asks for it.
USB-C YubiKey on a phone
Plug the key into the phone's USB-C port when asked, then touch the gold disc.
Add a backup key
Register a second YubiKey and keep it somewhere safe. If you lose your only key you cannot sign in until Teleira support resets it. Sign in, open Account → Multifactor authentication → FIDO2 / WebAuthn and add the second key.
Your key's PIN
The PIN protects the key if someone else gets hold of it. After 8 wrong PINs the key locks; resetting it wipes everything on the key, including your Keylink registration, so contact support first.
Chrome
Keylink works in Google Chrome and needs a recent version. To update: Chrome menu (three dots) → Help → About Google Chrome.
